audio book rec for DH & I

I am looking for  a good audio book for DH & I.  He likes non fic.  I like EVERYTHING.  But- the 2 kiddos will be in the car presumably tuning in to any bad word or sketchy topic that is discussed. We both liked Freakonomics and Super Freakonomics a lot.
(I used to be a regular a looooooooooooong time ago on here; )

  • Dan Ariely's books are great on audio - if you liked Freakonomics, I think you'd like them.

The only audiobooks mh has enjoyed are about fishing reality shows. Ie. Books about the cast of Deadliest Catch, River Monsters, etc.
  • Have you guys read Ready Player One?  It's fiction, but so, so good.

Same with Mr. Penumbra's 24 Hour Bookstore.

1776 by David McCullough was good as an audiobook.

Malcolm Gladwell's Outliers was great on audio. He reads the book himself and I really like his voice. Also, along those same lines if you like Freakanomics, Top Dog: The Science of Winning and Losing by Po Bronson and Ashley Merryman was totally fascinating and good on audio.
