Any tips?

Re: Any tips?

  • Get them their own seat!  We just flew with Hayden 2 weeks ago when she was 14 1/2 months and it was imperative for us that she have her own seat.  She never sits still and there is no way we could have dealt with her on our laps.  We flew down to Florida and tried to plan our flights around her naps so that on the way there, she took her morning nap in the car seat on the plane and on the way home, she took her afternoon nap in the car seat.  Worked out great.

When we got to the airport, we requested that they move our seats to the bulkhead row.  It worked out great because there was a little extra leg room up front for us and Hayden could walk between the wall and our seats.  We also didn't have to worry about her kicking or annoying anyone in front of us.

We brought a portable DVD player with us and it was a savior!  I was really glad we had it.  Also, DH went on the plane first and got us all set up and then Hayden and I went on at the very end of boarding to just get buckled into the seats.  It saved us a good 20 minutes or so on the plane, which makes a difference to a toddler.

    Good luck!
