Are you hosting a NYE party?

We are not but we are going to a house party. For about the last 5 or 6 years we have gone out to a big fancy dinner and then went to some bar for the ball drop. This year our friends are hosting a huge party. i am excited to stay in this year - cheaper, don't have to get dressed up, don't have to figure out where to go. i was just wondering what everyone else is doing.

Re: Are you hosting a NYE party?

  • We just decided to host one this afternoon.  So, I'm here trying to find some last minute entertaining inspiration!

  • We're hosting one this year.  We hosted one two years ago and then went out last year and were home by 12:15 it sucked!  Having it home is cheaper and we can all party hard and just go up to bed when we're ready.  No one has to worry about driving drunk.

  • We are having a taco bar and having guests bring an app or a bottle of wine.  It should be fun.
  • Last minute decision, we're having a dinner party then heading out downtown.  Best of both worlds! :)  It's cheaper than going out to dinner..well sort off b/c we'll be making steaks.
  • We have hosted NTE for the past 2 years and we love doing it..  very casual, no need to get too dressed up, just a good time with friends...very low key...just finger foods and drinks....
  • We hosted Thanksgiving dinner and a Christmas party, so we're just kicking back for New Year's and going to a house party..

  • We are hosting a NYE/surprise 50th bday party for my FIL.  It will be fun, but we are a little tired getting home today from our trip.

Happy New Years to you all!!!
