Has anyone read House of Leaves?

It seems like a really interesting book, but it is spendy.  Has anyone read it and is it worth getting?

Re: Has anyone read House of Leaves?

  • I started it once, but couldn't really get into it, because of the bizarre way it's written. I would like to give it another try though, as I've heard so many amazing things about it. I got my copy from the library so I can't really answer whether it's worth the money.
  • I've read it...it's a pretty bizarre and disturbing book; it definitely sticks with you.  There are kind of two weirdly intertwined stories - one about a guy that finds a book (I think) and one about a family in a weird house.  I found the one about the house really interesting, and the other part kind of boring.  It's worth a read, but I'd get it from the library.

  • It was a bizarre book. ?I would recommend the library for this one.
