you don't belong to a particular church?
This is really distressing me, b/c I'd have preferred to have baptised Blair already -we're not Catholic, but I can't help worrying about her poor immortal soul being in limbo if something awful happened.
Dh was baptised Lutheran (he didn't even know! His mom goes to Calvary Chapel, and they dedicate, not baptise, babies so I assumed that he hadn't been. He was baptised in the Lutheran church in Redondo that his grandmother used to attend) and I was baptised Eastern Orthodox, and neither of us have attended ANY church regularly since we were kids.
I think it's important for DH and I to have a better grasp of our own faith so that we can put Blair on a good spiritual path as well, but where do we go?
We attended service at an orthodox church in Torrance, but DH didn't like the priest. I was thinking that we could attend services at both the church he was baptised in (Resurrection Lutheran), and the local Greek Orthodox church (St. Katherine's) as well (he's Greek, I'm orthodox, it could work) and see which we feel more comfortable with, maybe join the congregation, and eventually have the baby baptised.
Does this seem like a good plan for a couple of heathens such as us?
