House warming party close to baby shower
My fiance and I are expecting our first child in July and planning to buy a house in the next few months before the baby arrives. Since it'll be our first home and we're just starting out I'd like to have a house warming party. I'm hoping to be moved into a house by May the latest. I'm due in the beginning of July so I'm thinking the baby shower will be in June. Is it too much to have a house warming party a few months after the shower? I don't want to overwhelm guests or have them feel burdened to get us gifts just a few months apart. It also might take us awhile to get settled in after moving especially with the arrival of the baby; how long after you move in is it acceptable to have a housewarming party?
