*** goldenjes *** re: snake pizza

For Halloween, I made the kids a "snake pizza" using the idea from here:

http://gourmetmomonthego.blogspot.com/2008/09/spooky-snake-pizza.html

I didn't have olives at the time, and didn't want to buy a whole jar of it just for a couple of olives for the eyes, so instead, I used edamame, which I did have on hand.  I just shelled 2 pods and threw them on the head as eyes.  I also didn't have any pepper for the tongue so I just cut a piece of pepperoni to looked like the forked tongue and stuck it on the head.  I had to improvise with what I had on hand, but it turned out well.

I also made them a spider pizza

Again, I didn't have olives so when it was cooked, I just threw a plastic spider on it.  And I didn't use pita, I used a Boboli pizza crust.

Both were so easy to make and the kids (and DH) loved them!  I had to fight them for a piece. Stick out tongue

  • I can hang in the kitchen, but I usually don't have time to do the hard stuff.

DS3 is trying to have a sleepover Friday night so I might try these then.

I'm quite kitchen challenged myself, I won't even go into the casualties my dishes and cookware have suffered over the years because of my cooking disabilities, but those were so easy I managed to do them without burning the house down lol.
