Urbandale aquatic play ground?

Is this water park worth paying for? Which wadding pool is your favorite?

We've never been to any of the water parks/pools that charge admission, so I can't offer a comparison. We always go to Ashby Park wading pool because it's free and has a splash pad along with the pool. Nicholas has a blast every time we go. :)
  • The Clive Aquatic Center is the big one, but I've never been there.  The Urbandale pool has a wading area in addition to their indoor pool.  However, it's only open from 1-4 in the afternoon and costs $4 to get in (I don't remember the ages on free admission), so we haven't been this year since N is napping during that time.

  • If I'm going to pay to get in then I like Clive. There's a nice shaded area that's protected from the deep water with a wall for the tiny ones. I think it's around $7.50 to get in though.

For splash pads, we've been to ankeny, one in urbandale near the high school, and ashby. Hands down Asby is my and my kids' favorite. And it's free.

Nobody said life would be easy. Just that it would be worth it.
