skinny jeans Q- okay or not okay?

I have a favorite pair of J brand skinny jeans that make my legs and butt look super tiny. They are slightly stretchy, but hold everything in and slims it down.

The problem? When I am 5 lbs heavier (like I am now from the holidays!) they are just a bit *too* tight and right now I'm getting that weird crease on the back of my thighs when I wear them. Do you know what I'm talking about? If not, let me know and I'll elaborate.

So...is it completely unacceptable to wear them until the thighs calm down a bit? because I got a killer deal on them and am super picky about skinny jeans and haven't found another pair I like that work on my body.

*edited, because I am not a "5 lb heaver"

  • I think it's fine. If it were me, I would just wear a top that covers that, but honey if you're comfortable let it go and work it like the rent's due!!

Love it :) Honestly, I'm shocked that the muffin top sitch is very minimal- it just makes a little weird crease about  inches below my booty because the thigh part is being stretched to capacity. But then again, that is the point of skinny jeans, right?

  • my skinny jeans are not skinny enough and ther are no more jeans in stores bc of after christmas sales... so im stuck with baggy skinny jeans. i envy your crease.

  • I'm sure it's fine.  So long as it's not bulging in the creases, it's fine.

hmmm...while I tend to be my own worst critic, I cannot confirm or deny a slight bulging above the crease... its hard to say. Maybe I'll post a pic eventually.

I'm not heavy; I'm 5'5" and about 130 lbs, but I definitely have some wobbly bits...

  • I think it's fine - if you are self conscious about the crease just make sure the top you wear is long enough to cover it. You'll drop the weight again - holidays do that to us! =) BTW I wear a size 14 and have a pair of skinny jeans that I love as well. I just wear tops that cover a good part of my thighs so it looks more flattered....and I start weight watchers tomorrow! =)

I have this problem with every single pair of jeans that I"ve tried on post baby.   So if it's wrong to wear jeans when you have this crease then whoops.  I really don't know what else to do and I can't wear dresses all the time.  I wonder if I'd have the same problem with jeggings since they conform to your curves a little more.

me, too! And they're a size up because I didn't want to feel shrink wrapped in....

    ignore the crease. work it.
