And a taste of what the rest of her body looks like (7 more just like this on various parts of her body):

  • Poor pup! Is there a backstory on this?  (sorry... newbie!)

  • Bailey has frequent UTIs and vet thinks (and my internet research has confirmed) that her inverted vulva was playing a large role as the cause of the infections.  The primary surgery (episioplasty) was to correct this issue by removing some excess skin around her vulva.

Since she was under, we decided it was time to have her multiple lumps removed as well, so they took out 9 of those today.  And she got a dental while she was under as well.  It was a rough day for my girl :(

ETA:  Good info on the how and why of the episioplasty surgery here: http://www.pets.ca/forum/showthread.php?p=874234

  • I missed what happened. Poor puppy :(

ETA: I see now. I hope she feels better soon. Tell her Beelz will be having his personal bits all tore up soon too so don't feel bad.

  • goodness - I know the surgery would be extensive, but I don't know what I was expecting.

Petey has another bump I'm freaking out about that neither MH nor the vet caught during his annual exam, but I noticed it the same night when I got home :/

Move along, nothing to see here.....
  • Poor girl - lots of T&P to her for a speedy recovery.
  • That is going to be one good looking cooter when it heals up!
  • Oh wow. This was something that we are considering for Sadie. She has had three UTIs in the past year and the vet thinks it might because she has extra tissue in that area. I thought it would be a minor surgery but this looks much more extensive than I imagined!

Anyway, hope she recovers quickly and the surgery takes care of her issues.
