so if betty ate over a dozen muffins...

That just means lots of poop and gas, right?  They were blueberry and cranberry if that matters.  Ugh, I thought they were out of reach Sad

Re: so if betty ate over a dozen muffins...

  • Poor doggus.

Watch out for bloat. I'm sure there's lots of vegetable oil in those muffins.

  • Hopefully 1 dozen won't, but more might.

My Aunt's dog climbed through a window(His crate was in a den that had a window to the kitchen. Which he had never climbed through) and got a hold of 3 dozen pumpkin muffins. My aunt rushed him to the vet as soon as she found him. Even though she got to him before he had a chance to digest them, he passed away two days later.

  • I made them, so I would say there was about 1/2 c of melted earth balance (margarine) in them.  She's acting normal so far.

  • Mickey has done that and she looked, well, much happier than muffinless me!  She was just fine though.  She adores her carbs.
April is National Grilled Cheese Month. How are you celebrating? image
  • My dog got ahold of an 8 ounce block of jalapeno pepper cheese. He ate most of it. (I was only outside for about half a minute; when I returned, he already got ahold of the cheese, took it into the living room and was merrily munching away on it)

    Nothing happened to him.

So ya never know. Poor doggus; keep an eye on her; hope she feels better.

  • If she's a bigger dog she'll probably be fine, she wont feel well, but its not going to hurt her.  Watch for her acting different, if she doesnt have a BM within the next day and half, I would call the vet.

Manny ripped open a huge bag of almonds yesterday in the office and we dont know how many he ate.  My vet has told me before that dogs have stomachs that are built to digest whatever the put in,  but I always lean on the side of caution! Wink
