We've discontinued the free feeding. I posted about when to try raw food with the kittens on the yahoo group, and the consensus was since they are still young, just give it a try and see how it goes.
Well. We have 3 kittens who won't all eat the same thing now. First, all 3 kittens were offered raw medallions. Loki ate some premade raw from NV. Serendipity wouldn't touch it and looked at me with disdain for attempting to give it to her. Bartleby wouldn't eat the NV, but did enjoy his salmon & sweet potato wet CN. Serendipity wouldn't eat the wet, but did happily eat some CN kibble that I put down. Grrr.
We would love to get her to eat the raw obviously, but I feel like she's going to be tough. We will continue to offer raw first at meal times, but I'm wondering if maybe S would enjoy a different flavor wet. Does CN make other varities for kittens? If not, is ok to mix brands of wet?
ETA: I don't mean mixing them together. What I meant to say was is it ok if we just give her a completely different brand of wet? Do we need to transition like we would with kibble?
