Carrie - your house!!!

Carrie, I saw your status on FB about somebody throwing rocks at your house!  Is it okay?  You said one window is broken???  Any word on who did it?  Were there witnesses?  I'm so sorry!  You must be so upset by this!  I dont know what I would do.  It's a good thing y'all are fixin' to get a dog!  (hopefully!)  Dogs can hear people houses and houses away, and things in general that we can't, and will therefore alert you when something's not right.  I hope everything's okay, and that you're still able to enjoy your weekend!  Love ya hun!

Re: Carrie - your house!!!

  • Aw, thanks Megan.  We have no clue who did it, and as far as we know, there were no witnesses.  DH is planning on going to a couple neighbors' houses this afternoon, just to see if anyone saw anything.  I also emailed the HOA people to give them a head's up, and to see if it happened to anyone else in the neighborhood.  Once we know the cost to replace the window, we're going to file a vandalism report with the county sheriff's office, too.  There's no point in asking them to investigate, but at least they'll know that something's going on in the neighborhood.

There's a big crack in the kitchen window, so we'll need to replace it.  But otherwise, everything's fine.  There are a couple small dents in the siding, but they're not a big deal.

We're assuming that it happened while we were at a Halloween party last night.  We think we would've heard it if it happened while we were home.  The random rocks on the porch and in the grass are really the only way we know what happened.

  • oh noooo!! :( that stinks.
  • Carrie - That is awful!!  So sorry to hear this.  I'm sure it was some punk teenagers who were bored and had nothing better to do... How sad that some people don't have any respect for other people's property.  I hope you find out who it was...have you heard anything from your neighbors?
