fess up...

Do you keep books and/or magazines in the bathroom? What's in there right now?

We usually have a random assortment... The latest police newspaper thing DH has, Maxim, Us Weekly, Ikea and Cabella catalogues. Right now there's a "Chuck Norris vs. Mr.T" book too... its funny =)

My In-laws have one of those "Bathroom Reader" books in theirs.?

?So, come on, tell us... what's in your "Office"?

Re: fess up...

  • Absolutely nothing.

Sorry, I don't get the reading on the toilet thing.

  • Are you kidding? My toilet paper holder in our spare bathroom (the hubs bathroom) has a magazine rack on top! We have Uncle John's bathroom reader book (funny random stuff), Spirit magazine from my last trip on Southwest, Marie Claire, Blender, Better homes and Gardens, and 2 People mags...Hubby keeps up on the gossip because of this reading time!
  • We have the Bathroom Reader in there. It's hilarious.
  • hahah...

    Right now?

Don't Sweat the Small Stuff in Love. Simple Ways to Nurture and Strengthen Your Relationships While Avoiding the Habits That Break Down Your Loving Connection.

(Longest title ever, but shortest sections. Each "chapter" is one to three pages... makes for easy toilet reading.

Also, I occasionally have "1000 Places to See Before You Die" I've been going through and highlighting all the places/things/events I've seen.

  • We have nothing, although DH is always pestering me to stock a supply of reading material in there. Specifically, he wants "a basket with various magazines and Warhammer books." I don't spend enough time in there to do any reading, so if he wants something, I figure he can take care of it. The amount of time he sometimes spends in the bathroom ASTOUNDS me.
  • Dh has a mini supply on top of the litter box: a Muscle Car Review mag and an Ocean Shore Railroad book. It did occur to me the other day while reading Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus that if I wanted to get him to read something I could just leave it in there.
My favorite place on earth: The Amargosa Valley.

Dude. Totally do it. It 100% works. My Huz read all of "The Art of War" in the restroom. True story.?

  • Lol :)  We don't keep them in our bathroom, but that's usually where DH reads his Men's Health and I read Women's Health.  I sometimes think about putting a magazine rack in there. . . but haven't done it yet.
  • We always have the Metro and The Wave Magazine...we also have the grocery store weekly ads...lol

This... and even if I do take something in with me to take a bath or something, Brian gets so annoyed, grossed out, etc if it stays there while someone is using the bathroom (after I am out of the bath tub). If you have seen the Curb your Enthusiasm about this, you'll understand...

  • I hate having clutter so I gave DH the deep drawer on the bottom of the vanity (closest to toilet) to put all his magazines in.  It works perfectly because he can just close the drawer and they are hidden.  He has tons of magazines, Guns&Ammo, Diesel Power, Jeep World etc.

I usually just bring a whatever book im reading at the time with me

  • We have an assortment of magazines. Real Simple, Parents, InStyle, National Geographic and old issues of Wondertime. I think the latest Crate and Barrel and Campmor catalogs are in there too. And a couple of crossword books.

My (rather sad) excuse for it all is that the time I spend in the bathroom is some of the only exclusively "me" time that I get anymore. So I've been known to linger for longer than necessary, just reading! Embarrassed

  • In H's "office" he have a few GQ's and also some of my Us Weeklys. He likes to read them after im done.
