Follow Up To "Ugh"

YAY!  So, our showing at 1 PM was successful as well!

Apparently, the first woman is MIA, so, Brett and I feel, whomever gets the paperwork done first, can rent our house.  I guess though, if one has better credit or whatever, we'd go with them?  We're still waiting to hear from our realtor to see what happens.  Is it first come first served or our choice?  We're not sure yet.

The showing today was to another young teacher, this one is single.  (Brett and I were kind of hoping for a single, female renter.  Just because.  But, we're fine with the widow with two children too.)  She is going to come back tomorrow with a family member.  If all goes well, she wants the house too.  I think I might stick around tomorrow and meet her.  May as well get to know a potential renter, right?

So...yay!  I hate having showings because it's just a big inconvenience, but, they've been successful, so I guess I can't complain.

  • Katy, that's great news!!  WHOOOHOOO!!  What a bummer that the first went MIA, but don't worry obviously your place is definitely one that people want!!  Especially since the following showing is another potential renter as well.

  • Good luck!  Might not hurt to ask for references if you haven't already.  But oddly enough if you've got good credit you tend to be more reliable which I guess makes sense but doesn't always fit the bill.  I know some insurance companies use it to determine your base rate these days.

  • Sweet!  Hopefully one of them will work out.
  • That's great news! I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you!
