  • Blue Smoke (Nora Roberts) Yes No

When the Astors Owned New York Yes Yes

    Envy: A Luxe Novel YesYes

Rumors: A Luxe Novel Yes Yes

    Cordina's Royal Family Yes No

The Guy Not Taken on Audiobook Yes No

Confessions of a Shopaholic No No

Didn't get through many this month-. I'm at 46/100.

Friday, December 28 2012. The day I had emergency appendix surgery in Mexico and quit smoking. Proof that everything has a good side!! DH and I are happily child-free!! No due date or toddler tickers here!! my read shelf:
Alison's book recommendations, favorite quotes, book clubs, book trivia, book lists (read shelf)
  • Vision in White by Nora Roberts - love her, loved it as usual, can't wait for the next in the series!

The Senator's Wife  by Sue Miller - enjoyed it up until the end, hated the ending.

Panic by Jeff Abbott (audio) - good, suspenseful book.

No Opportunity Wasted by Phil Keogan - interesting premise; enjoyed it more for the stories about other people than as motivate for creating my own NOW list.

Tough Cookie by Diane Mott Davidson - the usual formula for this series, but a fun read nonetheless

The Wizard of Oz by L. Frank Baum - I'd actually never read the book, so it was fun to finally do it.

Best Murder of the Year by Jon P Bloch - definitely not the best book of the year.  I wanted to know whodunit, but I still left the last few chapters unread for more than a day - not a ringing endorsement coming from me!

Ballet Shoes by Noel Streatfield (sp?) - lots of fun to revisit an old favorite.

Ramona Quimby, Age 8 by Beverly Cleary - also lots of fun to revisit.

That puts me at 32/75, counting the childhood books as 1 book.

I read the entire Tudor series and liked it. Read the first 2 Wideacres and didn't like it as much as the Tudors. The first book was pretty good, the 2nd was ok but it draggggggged in parts. Probably won't read the third.
