on the right board? - naples, FL question

not sure if the west coast florida board is the correct one if i have a question about naples...?

my FIL is moving to naples for a job. it's very short notice and he wants to rent a 3BR funrished condo in a good school district b/c dh's younger brother will be in his senior year of HS. any suggestions? not sure what the rental prices are down there... what would a fairly nice 3BR, 2BA condo rent for approximately?

Re: on the right board? - naples, FL question

  • I can't help you, but I'll page Mrs.Meg&Jay on the 0-6mth board for you. She lives in the area.
  • I live in Fort Myers which is like 20 min. north.  I am in real estate and my DH is a school administrator, so I might be able to help =)

There is only one school district for Naples:  Collier Co.  I asked DH and he said that Barron Collier High School is going to be the best followed by Naples High School.  As far as rentals go, I'm not going to be able to help too much with that, because Naples and Ft. Myers are drastically different.  Naples is more high-end.  For instance, the builder I work for sells a home in Ft. Myers for $350k and that same home is $450k in Naples... and I don't specialize in rentals  =(   Your FIL's best bet is to contact a real estate agent that handles rentals.  If I had to take a wild guess I would say a nice 3 br furnished condo would be around $1500 - $1600?

If you have any other questions feel free to ask!  Hopefully I will be able to help =)

oh, and the school year starts early in FL.. like 2 weeks from now!

  • Hello! We just moved from that area. We lived in Bonita Springs, which is in South Lee county. As far as rent, its very negotiable there. We rented a 3Bedroom/2 bath house with a pool on a golf course for 1500. Everyone is hurting there, so I'm sure you can get a great deal!
