Bachelor party ideas...

DH is trying to think of ideas for a bachelor party for one of our friends.  Any ideas?  They originally wanted to go to the gambling boats in Port A but the website said they weren't open because the boats were getting repaired.  Thought I'd see if you ladies had any ideas.

Re: Bachelor party ideas...

  • if they want to gamble they could go to Lake Charles (louisiana)... they have boats too :-)
  • Yeah that's where I originally thought they wanted to go but I'm not sure how much farther out they are than the boat out at Port A.
  • DH went to Shreveport for his bachelor party and had a blast.
  • Shreveport is fun, but they aren't actual "boats"!  I was so bummed the first time I went because I thought they were!  They look like boats and they float in the water, but they are attached to the building!  So, they don't actually go anywhere like the real boat in Port A!  I guess they don't have to go anywhere since gambling is legal in Louisiana.

Also, even though they are claiming the Port A boat is down for repairs, we have heard that it's actually done for good (it was losing money).  I've only been once, and didn't care to go back (it was kind of gross)!  haha!

Sorry I'm not really much help!  Just wanted to give you the head's up on the "boats" in Louisiana!  Aside from them not being boats, we always have fun in Shreveport - there are about 5 casinos within reasonable distance, so they can even casino hop!

Another place we like to go is L'Auberge in Lake Charles...it is a small casino, but has a really nice resort feel (the pool even has a lazy river and a swim up bar).  We went this past summer and really enjoyed it: www.ldlcasino.com

    Good luck!  :)
