OGAC head told he can stay by Obama, then forced to resign by Clinton

This is annoying me. Dybul was, yes, a political appointee, but had been told that the Obama administration wanted him to stay on temporarily until they could settle on a replacement.

Then Hillary is confirmed and Dybul is told he must resign, along with the rest of the political appointees at State. So now there is no head of OGAC, and it is unclear when there will be one.

  • This is a big topic of conversation in our office as well. But I thought I'd heard of a replacement - though I may be confusing it with whoever was chosen for some other position.

    I can't imagine they will keep the positions empty that long. There is too much money flowing through PEPFAR and it is too visible to leave that position empty for long.
