Cleaning a Coach Leather Purse?

Is there a good way to clean witjout buying a special leather cleaner?

Re: Cleaning a Coach Leather Purse?

  • i used a clorox wipe on my white leather purse which worked fine..... though it was a cheapie, and i'm not sure I would suggest that for a coach purse. perhaps google it to make sure?
  • Coach sells leather cleaners specifically for their bags.

  • I worked for coach for a couple of years and we were told that you could easily wipe off the newer leather bags with a non-alcoholic wipe because the leather is treated. I wouldn't do this on a bag thats more than 4 years old and I would definitely make sure its an authentic bag.

  • Not all leather can be treated/cleaned, ie the Natural Vaccheta leather. Before using any product - even Coach's cleaning product, check with the store to see if it can indeed be used on that skin/finish. Using any cleaner on a natural leather can change the color or texture of the skin. There are many dry-cleaners that advertise Handbag Cleaning Services. Ensure you know what that process entails & WHERE the cleaning is actually taking place - many use wholesalers and send your items outside of their facility.
