Need suggestions re: bales of hay

so I always rent tables and chairs for our party, but people rarely sit. They always end up walking around, or dancing. This year I decided the tables/chairs were a waste of money so I decided to go buy bales of hay.

I know they can be itchy to sit on. how can I decoracte them festively? I don't want to throw blankets or towels on them....any ideas?

Re: Need suggestions re: bales of hay

  • You can still throw blankets or towels on them for padding but cover that with black and orange tulle. Tulle can withstand a lot and it's washable so you can save it for next year, plus it stores easily.
  • That's not a bad idea Kat!
  • It's something I've been thinking about. I wanted to buy some hay bales now for fall decor, and I was trying to figure out how to make use of them for xmas as well.
