food question

My husbands coworker is adopting a dog with a heart mummer. He asked us to recommend food for it. Any suggestions? I know what good quality foods are (we feed Wellness). I just wondered if their was a special food that would be helpful to his dog.

Re: food question

  • Pretty sure you just want to stick to a good quality diet. There's nothing that can really be done for a heart murmur, other than monitoring regularly to make sure it doesn't worsen. Zoey actually had a super minor murmur as a young puppy. By 16 weeks, it had resolved itself, though. She basically grew/developed out of it.
