The weather!

Who is loving it?! I have all of the windows open today! And, DH has a big pot of gumbo on the stove as we speak! Too bad its going to get hot again before it will stick around for a while!

Lovin' it while it's here!

  • Perfect weather for gumbo and football. You may have inspired me. Care to post your recipe? I need a good one

David makes a rockin' gumbo - but he does it Gluten-Free.  He makes it with Crab, Crawfish, and Shrimp! Yum!

Sorry! Just saw this! I use John Folse's recipe. I make my roux from scratch. I don't do well with things out of a jar (like my husband uses). :) I use this same recipe for chicken and sausage, except I like to brown my chicken and sausage before making my roux, just so I can get a better flavor. (and I don't do oysters either)
