I'm making a cake on Friday, decorating on Friday and serving to guests on Saturday (noonish). I'd like to try something other than the standard Wilton Buttercream (with Crisco) as the filling. The cake will be covered in fondant. I won't have the ability to refrigerate the cake but it will be in my 74 degree basement.
Any suggestions for filling, other than jam/preserves. This is for a 4 y/o bday party.
