Way to get hair dye stain off toilet seat?

I was dying my hair in the bathroom and found out a nice splotch fell onto the toilet seat. Any recommendations on how to get the dye completely off? I used Clorox wipes as well as my regular Scrubbing Bubbles for counter tops to try but it still has that slightly dark dye on the nice white seat.

Any suggestions?

  • Try using nail polish remover with acetone in it. I once got hair dye all over my bathroom, and it worked like a charm.

Great tip! I think its gone enough that others won't see it. I can still see a small ring of dark brown dye but no one else will know its there. Thanks!

I'm a klutz with hair dye, so I have to do this every time I dye my hair.  Works like a charm.

  • Try the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser, it does wonders in every room and every surface of the house.
