I take Cody (our golden) into the vet to get his nails trimmed every 3-4 weeks and every time we go I have them weigh him. He has been losing weight recently...he's 4 and at his lowest weight (63.8) since he was growing. I upped his food (TOTW) a little last month, but that didn't work...he is a little more active now, but not excessively, everything else is normal.
Aside from upping his food, what else can I add to help him gain a couple pounds? The vet isn't too concerned, but doesn't want to see him keep dropping weight. You can easily feel his ribs, but he doesn't look malnourished. What would they test for if he continues to lose weight?
