Squashed plants--are they goners?

This winter's 6 foot snow banks totally squashed my Euonymous that I had out front. They're flattened down, but can I just cut them down and hope they grow back? Or do I have to dig them up and start over? :(

  • I'd give them time to see if the branches/plant will bounce back.  You'll be able to tell if its dying.  They are really, really hard to kill, though!
