PBS ?

I sent out a book on the 12th of September from central NY to MA, it still hasn't been marked received and I can't do anything about it until October 10th.  I printed my postage from PBS and I checked and it got this far that I can see:

USPS DC#: 9102165561353003889816
  • 9/12/2008 11:00 AM - Electronic Shipping Info Received - SYRACUSE,NY
  • 9/17/2008 8:22 PM - Enroute - WARRENDALE,PA

My question is what happens if they never receive it?  Do I have to give the credit back even though it's clear I sent it out?  Then I'm out a book and a credit.  I have never had a book take this long.  I received one that had been sent out on the 27th and I already got it today.

Re: PBS ?

  • If you use printed postage, you don't lose your credit once your package is scanned into the system.  So if USPS loses the package, you keep the credit because you sent the book and the other person would get their credit back after Oct. 10 if they don't get the book.
