Re: crap. what to do with a stray at 11:00 at night

  • This is the husband, hijacking the account!

I want this dog!  At least until we find its owner.

    But we've bonded.  =(

  • How cute that your husband wanted to keep the dog!
  • My mom found a very sad, skinny pit bull on the side of the road last summer. She put it in her van and kept her in the backyard all weekend. She called animal control on Monday and they picked the dog up. I felt so bad for this dog. She was super skinny and attention starved.
  • If you don't follow the conversational/random thoughts thread, I posted there.

We left the dog outside last night (on a tie out so he couldn't wander into the street or anything) and he was gone this morning (along with our dog-towel and super strong Clapton-proof tie out, grrr.)

Hopefully his owners found him, or someone who was going to take a similar course of action as we were. To be honest, I'm glad it's out of out hands, but I wish that we had a house with a fenced in backyard, then we would know he was ok.
