Living areas by Tinker

My friend just contacted me to ask about living areas around Tinker. She has a 9 month old baby and one due in Jan. I really don't know much about the area. She is moving from VA. If anyone could let me know. Also if you want to PM me the information that would be fine. Thanks!

Re: Living areas by Tinker

  • How close to Tinker does she want to be?  5-10 minutes or 15-20?  Because I would think that a little farther away would give her way more options (Moore, Choctaw, etc.).
  • We lived South of 240 off of Sooner and it was a nice area. I would stay away from Del City and MWC....Choctaw is a good area as well as Moore without being too far to drive.

  • There are some nice neighborhoods around Sooner Road and 240, some really new. They're doing a lot of construction around there I've noticed.

  • Thanks! I'll let her know. I'm not really sure how close she wants to live. I think she just kind of wants to know whats around so she can do some research.

  • I used to work at Tinker. I lived in Southwest OKC, Moore, and Edmond. Honestly, the commute was all the same in terms of time. Even Norman is not bad, but I find housing to be more expensive in Norman.

    I wouldn't live in Del City/Midwest City.

I have a house for sale!!!
