Car seat recycling?

So we got our car back from DH's car accident and we still have the car seat that k was in that day... I'm going to keep the lining from it as an extra in case k gets sick/blows out etc on her new seat... But what can I do with the seat itself? Do they recycle that kind of plastic?

Re: Car seat recycling?

  • Maybe call your local PD, they may have an idea or be able to point you in the right direction!

  • That's what I was thinking too... Or the fire dept? You think they'd use it in a practice car rescue type thing?

  • A few organizations recycle car seats it is very hard to find. I've tried. Yiou can donate them to a fire dept. If you are going to throw it out you should destroy it so no one plucks it from the garbage and tried to use it.  Good luck I still have our car seats and I'm so worried about getting rid of them.
