The Snapper Turtle came back!

Here is OP: http://community.thenest.com/cs/ks/forums/thread/37405532.aspx

Thanks to Romsoser for the rubbermaid suggestion!

H and a friend loaded him up and took him off to a local marshy/bog area so hopefully he is swimming around, eating mosquitoes to his heart's content, and, most importantly, doesn't feel the urge to find his way back to my pond!

  • YAY for relocation, and not turtle soup.  ;op
A big old middle finger to you, stupid Nest.
  • I'm glad that you were able to relocate the turtle!
  • I'm glad you were able to relocate him before he got to the dogs or inside your pond!!

I used to live across the street from a pond filled with snappers.  They would sun themselves in our yard and my dad would relocate them back to the pond with a rubbermaid.

I can't make any promises should he find his way back ;)

According to MH (no offense meant to anyone - I am sure that the turtle was already dead when they found it), there are something like 25 different types of meat on a snapper.
