Cheddars Casual Cafe-nutrition facts?

I have looked EVERYWHERE online. Does anyone know where to find them and why the heck they aren't online? I thought they had to have nutrition info available somewhere by law. I guess I'll ask the next time I go in. Anyone know?

  • Wow..didn't need anything snarky. I know how to estimate, just can't figure out why they aren''t online. I know the basics of eating out.

    Thanks.

  • The pp was not being snarky, just trying to help. Most people that post here about restaurants are asking what to eat.  This is a generally unsnark board.

To answer your question: Unfortunately, it is not required by law to post nutrition facts online (although it is being pushed for to Congress). You might have some luck if you call the restaurant to see if they have nutrition facts available to patrons.

It sucks. I went to Magianno's a few weeks ago and was pissed that they did not have their nutrition facts available anywhere. Actually, they closed their restaurant in NYC when the city made it law, so they didn't have to let America know how bad their dishes are.

    Good luck with your meal!

  • It wasn't that bad, I guess it was the "use your brain" comment that got me. I guess I'm on MM and ML too often lol. Sorry to misread.

It's frustrating! Makes me think they have something to hide! I just had a grilled chicken sandwhich with steamed brocolli and I'm sure the chix sandwich wasn't bad. Just irritates  me for as long as they have been around, they have nothing that can be found.

    Thanks!

  • That is frustrating!  I was under the impression that legally restaurants had to provide nutrition information somewhere, but I could be wrong.

Sounds like you made a healthy decision.  DH and I went there with a friend once (only because the friend had a gift card) and we were not impressed.  It seemed like everything on the menu was super unhealthy.  I think I got a grilled chicken salad and had them leave off a bunch of stuff.

If I can't find nutrition info online I'll try a similar restaurant to get a general idea of what the nutrition info might be.  So you could try checking Chili's or Applebee's websites, I'm almost positive they have info on there.

  • We have two Cheddars locations close to us. One is about 20 min away. I would never go back there again, bad service, took too long and food was okay.

The one closest to our home is great. Good food, fast and friendly service. I guess it all depends on the location.

Thanks again! I appreciate the responses.

  • We won't go to Cheddars because their food is terrible (nutrition wise).  The drown their vegatables in sugar, salt and bacon, so even that isn't a healthy option.  Not to mention that their service sucks (that's based on two different locations in two different states).
  • If u go to fatsecret.com they have most of the nutritional info for most restraurants, cheddars is one.
