About Resorts: Sorry this is so long!

There is a bar on the casino floor that isn't ridiculously expensive, I'd say it's the same as what you'd find in a decent bar downtown. Drinks are free at all casinos it just really depends on how good the service is and where you are sitting if you can get drinks or not. Resorts service is pretty slow but you can order 2 at once and if you tip well they'll keep coming, but you can see where the drink stations are and sit close...that's what we do.

DH and I love Showboat and it's vibe is pretty similar to Resorts but it's older. Rooms are much nicer. Resorts has tons of penny slots and they actually have the most slots in AC. Most of the table games are $5 weeknight/morning and $10/night, that's on par with most casinos. There isn't a poker room there though. I'd go to Taj or Showboat (there is a walkway between all 3 casinos)

Restaurants: Stay away from the buffet! There is a Gallagher's steak house (Ruth's Chris $$) but also a burger bar across the hall that is pretty reasonable. There is a super expensive Italian restaurant there that I've never been to. There is also an asian noodle bar (we eat there a lot and sit in the front section where the menu is less), it's PF Chang $$. And we always get breakfast at the diner place Breadsticks downstairs. Their dinner stuff is reasonable but a little pricey.

The nice part about Resorts is that it's right next to Taj Mahal which has Hard Rock, Il Mulino (the best Italian place ever) and this really nice diner type American place. We tend to go over there to play poker since they have the biggest poker room. Showboat has House of Blues and a good diner too, don't know about the other restaurants.

Let me know if you have more questions!

  • Great thanks! Im glad you have had all good experiences. I read some bad reviews. I booked 2 nights for DH and I for my 30th/Valentines day and I booked 2 nights for my parents as their Xmas gift. I think it will be a nice surprise for them.

I think when we were at Caesars most of the tables were $25!!! I thought that was ridiculous!  This seems like a place where we will be much more happy.

  • We've definitely had mostly positive experiences. I won't lie and say the rooms are awesome or anything is particularly amazing there but it's a 3 star place. I think out of the 10+ times we've stayed we've only complained about the room twice. The casino is good for someone who doesn't need a lot of table games. I'm glad this helped, you will have a good time!

  • I dont need fancy rooms so that is fine with me. I grew up taking lots of vacations with my parents staying at Motel 6!!
