Hi!  Thanks for your reply to my post below!

Way cool that you live in Valrico.  So how long have you lived there and how do you like it?  Do you have any rec's for local restaurants, things to do, etc.?

DH graduated from Bloomingdale H.S. back in the day, moved away, and when we decided to move here (I had never been to Tampa in my life) he really wanted to live in the Bloomingdale area for the good schools, established neighborhoods, etc.  I LOVE the neighborhood and am looking forward to living there, but I have to admit that I was a little bummed to see that it's not really in the "action-packed" areas like downtown, St. Pete, Clearwater...  But luckily it seems that we won't be TOO far from the action.  :)

  • I just realized that my response that I wrote back to you the other day didn't post.  I will try to get back with you this evening.  :)

  • Ok, so it's been forever since you asked but since I actually have a second...I figured I would get on here to respond. :)  DH and I also both graduated from Bloomingdale!  Valrico is a great place to live!  For a fun place for drinks and to listen to music, JF Kicks on the corner of Bloomingdale and Lithia Pinecrest is great.  For brunch, The Brunchery on Lithia Pinecrest (south of Bloomingdale) is really good!  For breakfast and lunch, Mimi's by the mall is really good.  For sushi, Tsunami by the mall is really good.  And for mexican, Estella's on 60 is pretty good...and there's this new place that I haven't tried yet called Singual in the mall that looks really good!  Hope this is a start at least.  But we still go to the South Tampa area for great restaurants and night life...it's really not that far.  I now live just south of the mall and we can be downtown in 20 minutes or less...and you can get to S. Tampa from Valrico in about 30 minutes.   :)
