WIJFR: Bitter is the new black (spoilers)

While I thought the book was funny - sometimes I got annoyed. I guess by all her bad decisions, but that's what made the book more fun. I actually got to see jen grow up almost.

PS i laughed out loud soo hard that their wedding was at the same time as a porn convention.

  • I think that is part of some of the charm at the book.  I try to keep in mind that she was younger in the book than she was now.  There were points in the book that I was thinking why would you do that? why would you say that?

When I was reading her book I was just starting to discover Chicago so I was truly getting a kick out of her Trader Joes & Target experiences since those are the exact stores I was shopping.

It was nice to see her grow up in the book esp. where she was selling off her items.  (I have gotten a further appreciation of this gesture after reading her subsequent books.  -- going to try to avoid a spoiler).
