  • I thought I just replied to this but it is not here.  Maybe my ghosts are invading the board too?

anyway, I think it was my brothers explorer.  We didn't have a romantic getaway though.  I think we just sort of left after the reception was over.  I think the car was parked in the parking garage and we just walked to it.  I don't really remember.  I was tired.

  • Limo. And it was waaay past sunset.?
  • My great uncle's 50-something red cadillac convertible. Here is the only pic of it I have on this computer.

  • Leaving the church it was his truck...thankfully he'd cleaned it out! He surprised me and took me to our hotel on the way to the reception to get in a horse drawn carriage. It was a fun surprise! Then we walked alone from the reception back to the hotel for our after par-tay!
  • We did a fake getaway for photo ops sitting on the back of my mom's silver PT Cruiser convertible with the top down.

We actually left at the end of the reception in my stepdad's Jeep Grand Cherokee to ride back to the hotel.  I somehow ended up sitting in the back seat trying to fit the bottom of my dress back there since my stepdad was drunk and DH drove the Jeep with SD sitting in the front passenger seat.

  • Some fancy Mercedes...  My hubby LOVED it and we had to drive all around downtown so people could see him driving it while on the way to our reception.

  • Husband's black truck...my sister decorated it all cutely with white balloons and "Just Married" decorations. We also accidentally decorated the inside with a bottle of our toasting wine...it spilled on the backseat floor. I guess whoever stuck it in there didn't quite have the cork in all the way or something.
  • We left in my trailblazer lol. On our way to our honeymoon, we got pulled over by an OHP for speeding and our tag was expired  (Surprise). But he just let us go with a warning! I'm sure the "Just Married" written on the back window had something to do with it! Smile

  • From the church to the reception, the bridal party was in a huge stretch Expedition limo. It had uhh, leopard decor, and the driver looked like something out of Saturday Night Fever.

From the reception to the hotel, yeah.. DH's truck. With a stop at 7-11 on the way.

  • Well...I drove my car with drunk people and DH drove one of his friends truck with drunk people. Not very romantic.
  • We had multiple white limos bringing guests and the wedding party from Norman and Edmond.  We took one of the limos to the reception and it took us and our friends back to the hotel.

  • Golf cart- we drove from the country club to our house and then drove his truck to honeymoon suite. We live super close to the club, never left the neighborhood!
  • We had a limo from norman to wynnewood to pauls valley and back to norman. It was sweet. And the driver was awesome! I think we had him from 2:30-11:30 for $450! :)
  • DH's truck. His groomsmen attached it. The put sardines in the tailpipe and by the engine so the whole car smelled very bad. Plus they took the ribbon off the back of the chairs at the reception and tied them to the back of the truck. Thank goodness my decorator didn't charge me for them.

When we started the truck the sardines and shaving cream that were in the tailpipe shot out and a whole bunch of seagulls attached it. It was pretty funny. The photographer took pictures of the whole thing.

They put a pigeon on our windshield wipers (standing up). I don't understand the bird thing.

We left in my husband's car - he had just bought it. They spent a lot of time decorating it. Balloons filling up the inside, attached to various parts of the outside of the car, random wedding stickers, paper wedding bells inside, shoe polish (the car looked like it was going to OU/Texas with some of the things they wrote. Beat Texas?). I really recommend NOT using your car.
