trying something new

my goldfish are cheapo feeder goldies that I have rescued along the way from turtle tanks, meijers, etc. nothing like the fancy ones I used to spend $$$ on for 1 fish back in the day....

Anyway, they did not have my usual flakes at the pet store today, but the guy suggested feeding them pond food, little pellets. It is way low in nitrogen, which keeps algae down, wont get wasted as much bc flakes crumble, while pellets do not, and there is no way the fish can eat too fast, because they have to poof up w water, as opposed to flakes which can constipate them.

hopefully this turns out to be a good thing. It is actually a better quality food for a fraction of the price. go  figure!
