Having sex only once a week or less

My spouse and I are only having sex once a week and it is usually on the same day when the kids are asleep and everything is done around the house. After 5 years of marriage this has become the norm and my spouse doesn't seem to miss the sex when we do not have it. Confused and frustrated

Have you spoken to yoru spouse?

    I suggest you start there.

Communication is key --- I cannot stress that enough.

If you are unhappy with something you have to tell him.

But do it outside of the bedroom. I always suggest having the conversation on a Saturday; have somebody take the kids for the day and then you and your H sit down and talk.

One of you has to open up the floor to having a conversation -- maybe he would like to but is too shy or thinks he might offend you or he just doesn't know how to encroach the topic; you take the bull by the horns and you initiate the discussion.:)

Twice a week would be great and I think normal for couples like you who are married for awhile and have a couple of kids. Three times a week would be even better.

What about a vacation for you and your spouse only --- somebody can watch the kids for a week -- or weekend getaways, just the 2 of you?

Do you and he spend any time alone? Date nights -- or even something for an afternoon where you might go for a walk together and then get something to eat afterwards?

Do you do things together? Intimacy is a great deal more than just having sex.
