Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

Two questions:

1.  Should salsa be served room temp or chilled?

2. I'm putting out a cheese tray.  Can I arrange it now, or do I need to keep the cheeses separate (just cheddar, swill and colby, nothing fancy) to keep the flavors from "melding" in the fridge on the plate until it is served tomorrow?  Serving it around 11 am.

  • I tend to serve it chilled because I take it right out of the fridge before a party...it will obviously eventually get to room temp.
    When I cater events I usually put cheese trays together ahead of time and the refridgerate them until they are displayed with no problem.

  • I like my salsa at room temp. It might just be a preference thing though. As for the cheese, that is fine to put together ahead of time, just don't put the crackers on the cheese tray. They get soggy.
