Of course

I have a lot of work to do tomorrow...  and a doctor's appointment.  And the big story on the news?  Road conditions.  Ugh.

I'm kind of surprised.  We drove in from the east tonight and it didn't seem too bad but now the areas that we drove through are having problems.

Anyone else dreading the commute?

Re: Of course

  • No, because we didn't get anything.

I'm starting to think we're in some weird twilight zone.

A big old middle finger to you, stupid Nest.
  • What time is your appt tomorrow?  My little weather watcher thingy on Firefox says tomorrow will be 60 degrees. :)
  • :::raising hand:::

I can't wait for my normally sucky commute to be even more sucky.  I'm planning on leaving at 6 for my 7:30 shift...drive safe, buddy!

  • Yes, and once I get there I'm dreading everyone else's commute...it means I'm going to be busier than crap, just like today.  Sigh.

PSA: PLEASE BUCKLE UP YOUR KIDS, EVERYONE!!!  I'm getting tired of taking care of unrestrained children from car accidents!

This makes me sad.  I yelled at MIL because she was letting little BIL ride in the front seat of the car (he's definitely big enough) without putting his seat belt on.

I told her it was fine if she didn't do it.  She's an adult and can make the decision on if she wants to die or not, but he's not old enough to make that decision on his own.

DH backed me on this, AND mentioned that her dog shouldn't be riding in her lap because if the airbag went off it would kill the dog, drive the dog into her, and possibly kill her too.

Oh, Pam, I am so sorry that you have to witness that.  And for the parents:  Wake.the.fluck.up!  That just makes me sick!

L- I hope that your drive tomorrow is safe and easy!

I don't have plans to go any where tomorrow, but can I still strap my kids down somewhere? Big Smile

Seriously though, that's a great PSA and I really wish everyone was careful about not only strapping their kids to their car seats, but doing it properly each time.  It pisses me off and upsets me to no end when I hear about children needlessly dying in car accidents due to negligence.  Car seat manufacturers make it so quick and easy to strap kids in that there's just no excuse.

I'm with you on this one.  I have often heard the excuse about not having car seats in the good old days -- but we have them now -- so use them correctly!!
