Re: Christmas Tree Poll

  • I put real and I'm pretty sure we're getting one this year but last year we didn't even get one. So we'll see I guess.
  • I love real trees- the smell is so nice... I just hate the mess, lol! BUT its worth it to me- a friend of mine uses fake because of the mess- but I won't let it deter me this year- I'm getting a HUGE tree *hopefully* lol- as funding permits :)

  • I voted fake.  I've never had a real tree--even growing up, unless you count the grocery store mini versions.  One year I may have to get a real one just to try it out.

  • Fake here as well. We use to get real ones when I was a kid but it seems the prices have sky rocketed since then (either that or trees are more expensive on the west coast). We bought a fake one 3 yrs ago during Walmarts after xmas sales and its already pre-lit which I love. I've always hated stringing lights on trees.
  • Nothing beats the smell of a real xmas tree. And I have yet to find a fake scent that equals it. But with Isabel we only get about a 3ft one. That way we can put it on a table and just a little bit more out of her reach. But just in case we have NO breakable glass ornaments. They are all made of felt, paper, wood or tin.
  • We always had real trees growing up and we got one the first year we  were married. We have a fake one now. Not the same as real, but alot easier to deal with - and cheaper. I have lots of candles! Mistletoe from Yankee and Tree from BBW are my favorites.
  • I grew up with real xmas trees and I miss the smell.  We have a vintage 50's aluminum spinner with the color wheel.  It goes with the decor in the house, but this year, I'm getting a small real one for the family room.
